HVAC Residential Retro Installer Job Description

Salary $52,000 to 72,800 per year

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC Residential Retro installer to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC Installer will be skilled in removing old equipment and reinstalling new furnaces and air conditioners. You will guide and advise the customer on the operation and care of the new equipment installed. You will be responsible for installing the equipment according to manufactures specifications and to the codes of the building department.

To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent organizational and installation skills.

HVAC Residential Retro Installer Responsibilities:

Installing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.

Identifying improper installation and code problems on equipment.

Fixing, replacing, and adjusting vents, and ductwork.

Operating of a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.

Being responsible for the protection of the homeowner’s home during the installation.

Cleaning up job site when completed.

Maintaining service truck

Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.

Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.

Assisting with customers' queries.

Doing complete walk thru of new installation with homeowner on operation, performance, set up and maintenance required.

HVAC Retro Installer Requirements:

3 year experience as an HVAC Retro Installer, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.

Valid driver’s license.

Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.

Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.

Ability to work in confined spaces.

EPA 608 qualified

Nate certified or willingness to get certified
