Senior HVAC Technician

Perform specialized work in the operation, maintenance, diagnostic, repair, adjustment, and alteration of HVAC systems.

Generally, the hiring range is $62,256-$77,820 annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.

This position includes a take-home vehicle and an annual clothing allowance of $400.

Typical work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6am – 4:30 pm, additional day, evening, weekend and/or holiday hours may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following examples are illustrative and are not intended to be all-inclusive.)

Diagnosis of HVAC equipment failures.

Performs all HVAC equipment preventative maintenance.

Performs repairs on HVAC equipment, including boilers, air handlers, DX systems, chillers, and numerous other types of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Installs HVAC and building automation systems and equipment.

Installs ductwork, low voltage controls, gas piping, and ventilation systems.

Responsible for rough-in and final trim of new systems.

Performs building automation preventative maintenance.

Responds to and investigates complaints of malfunctioning building comfort control equipment.

Monitor building efficiencies to include indoor air quality and energy use.

Respond to after-hours or emergency calls outside of regular scheduled or business hours.

Remodels existing systems

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Five (5) years of professional HVAC experience.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a Federal Universal Refrigeration License issued by the State of Colorado.

Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire, with complying insurance. A review of motor vehicle records is required at the time of hire and periodically throughout employment.

This position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting through a national database.
