HVAC Techicians - (Hiring Sales, Service, and Installation Technicians)
POSITION SUMMARY
The HVAC Sales Technician will perform seasonal maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment with the responsibility to educate homeowners on issues or improvements needed. Additionally, the HVAC Service Technician will run demand service calls on residential systems.

OBJECTIVES
- Performs sales of residential HVAC equipment. Furnaces, Heat Pumps, Air Conditioners and Air Handlers.
- Performs preventive maintenance and inspections on aging equipment and provides solutions to prevent and reduct equipment failure by cleaning air handling systems and reheat coils, monitoring and calibrating air
handling systems and replacing filters, motors, fans, belts, etc. on systems.
- Repairs, replaces and adjusts vents and ductwork. May clean air ducts to
maximize efficiency and improve indoor air quality
- Locates and diagnoses problems, assessing extent of repairs and describing
options and associated costs to the customer. Provides a description of
diagnosed problems to customers in terms that can be understood.
- Assists with sales of complete systems, and sizing, documenting on site conditions
pertinent for the installation technician
- Completes all required documentation on services, explains
guarantees/warranties and collects, records fees in Service Titan.
- Converts unit repairs to system replacement when necessary and in best interest
of customer, based on system age and condition.
- Ensures that all HVAC repairs and installations are accurate, serviceable and that
materials used and workmanship meet the requirements of applicable
technical/safety standards and regulatory codes. Make any modification needed
to ensure proper installation and air balance
- Measure, document and report system performance
- Document service performed and recommendations made by completing
applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records in Service Titan
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal
and external)
- Meet sales goals and performance metrics, maintains minimum 30% conversion ratio
- Performs follow up calls on unclosed estimates and opportunities
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and truck stock

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● High School Diploma or GED
● 3 years of experience in residential HVAC services
● EPA Certification required
● Must possess valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
● Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
● Wear safety attire, such as goggles or other protective clothing
● Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and
distracting
● Requires the ability to raise, manipulate and maneuver tools, components and
materials and handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc.
● Work in high or elevated places and/or in tight spaces
