Job Title: Pipe Layer

Pay Range: $25 to $30 an hour DOE
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipe Layer to join our construction team. The Pipe Layer will be responsible for installing underground pipelines for water, sewer, storm drainage, or gas systems. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Install pipes (PVC, ductile iron, concrete, etc.) according to project specifications and blueprints.
Excavate and prepare trenches, ensuring proper depth, grade, and alignment using laser levels or grade rods.
Connect and seal pipe joints, fittings, and valves with appropriate materials and techniques.
Inspect and test installed systems for leaks or defects.
Backfill trenches and restore work areas to original condition.
Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
Collaborate with equipment operators, foremen, and other crew members to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pipe Layer or in a similar construction role.
Knowledge of pipe installation techniques, materials, and tools (e.g., pipe lasers, compaction equipment).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes.
Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing for long periods).
Valid driver’s license preferred; reliable transportation required.
OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
