Low Voltage Cabling Tech
Compensation: $23-$26 per hour Based on Experience
Cornerstone is looking for a self motivated, organized and fun person to join our team.
Job Description:
Conduct job site surveys (including visual inspections, problem identification, etc.)
Possess working knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA and the National Electrical Code
Install a variety of display wall and ceiling mounts
Install flat panel TVs
Install speakers, volume controls and equipment in ceilings and walls
Connect and understand AV equipment
Install Cat5e and Cat6 network cabling
Interface with customer contacts on projects
Interface with end users & coordinate with other vendors for each project
Attend project planning & progress meetings
Report any project scope changes, issues or concerns
Keep current with trainings and certifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational/Technical/Business School preferred
Must have 2-5 years of experience
Must be able to read and understand floor plans
Must have the ability to install, terminate & test low voltage cables (to include twisted pair cable, coax, stranded & solid conductor low voltage cable, AV cables.
Positive and professional work ethic and attitude
Good judgement
Strong mechanical aptitude
Must be able to lift 60 pounds
Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
Must be willing to travel around state and some out of state sites for work
Work hours generally from 7am - 4pm (expected to be on job site) Monday thru Friday but must be available for evenings and weekends when needed.
In addition, to standard employment requirements, applicant must successfully complete criminal background investigation to meet state registration requirements for security system related work.
