A Journeyman Millwright is a skilled tradesperson who installs, maintains, repairs, and dismantles machinery and equipment in industrial settings. They work with various types of machinery, from small components to large, complex systems, and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Assembly:
Millwrights assemble new machinery, ensuring proper alignment, lubrication, and connection of all components according to blueprints and schematics.
Maintenance and Repair:
They perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair or replace faulty parts to prevent downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.
Dismantling and Moving:
Millwrights also dismantle machinery for maintenance, relocation, or replacement, often working with heavy equipment and rigging.
Blueprint Reading and Interpretation:
They must be proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment specifications and installation requirements.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Millwrights are skilled in diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, identifying the root cause, and implementing effective solutions.
Safety Compliance:
They adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations when working with machinery and equipment, ensuring a safe working environment.

Journeyman Millwrights can work in a variety of industrial settings, including:

Processing Facilities: Maintaining and repairing equipment in oil refineries, chemical plants, and food processing facilities.
Construction Sites: Installing and dismantling machinery and equipment for various construction projects.
Some out of town is work required and different shifts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $39.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 70 per week
