Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Assistant Site Superintendent for a utility-scale solar project in Keenesburg, CO. This role supports site leadership and project execution during the civil and construction phases. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the lead Site Superintendent to ensure daily activities are tracked, deliveries are verified, and the job-site remains organized and productive. This is a field-based role requiring local candidates, as no per diem is available.
-Entry level into utility-scale solar industry
Responsibilities:
-Support daily site operations and report directly to the lead Site Superintendent
-Submit accurate daily progress reports and site updates
-Guide and direct delivery trucks and verify delivery quantities against invoices
-Walk the job-site regularly to monitor progress and flag issues
-Serve as acting superintendent during designated off-days
-Ensure proper coordination and communication with subcontractors
-Promote a safe work environment and ensure OSHA compliance
-Communicate effectively with field teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED required
-3–5 years of experience in residential, commercial, or utility-scale construction; solar is preferred not required
-Minimum OSHA 10 certification required
-Basic knowledge of construction or solar operations
-Mechanically inclined and comfortable in an outdoor job-site environment
-Proficient with computers and reporting tools
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
-Must pass a drug test and basic background check
-Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
-Local to the Keenesburg, CO area (no per diem provided)
-Temporary (6 months)
-Pay Range: $25/hour DOE
-Schedule: 5x10s with rotating weekend coverage (7-day site schedule)
