Fireworks Chefs Butters is a small food company based in Boulder, that focuses on helping people create home cooked restaurant style meals in their own kitchens. We are currently hiring for our part time farmer’s market sales staff to represent our fun, local business at Denver’s South Pearl Street farmers markets and other events around Colorado’s front range May- November. We are looking for foodies, home chefs and wellness loving sales team members who believe in promoting fresh, locally produced slow food and agriculture while nurturing environmental sustainability. You will see many happy faces while interacting with our customers! AND you get to make your own schedule. This position starts at the end of April for training and goes through early November, with potential to stay on through the holiday market season. Most of our markets in 2024 will be happening in and around Denver.
Primary duties will include:
Prepping the sample station and packing butter coolers before farmers markets.
Packing and transporting goods to markets, setting up, merchandising, and sales
Sampling, selling & educating customers on brand, product options, answering FAQs
Breaking/down and loading vehicle after markets.
For market sales tasks: training is provided, so long as candidates are available to meet in person at the end of April.
Option to expand into more paid activities for a fast-growing, women owned and run business.
The applicant needs to have a reliable vehicle to transport inventory and booth setup, be able to lift 40 pounds and be able to stand for extended hours. Above all the person needs to enjoy conversing with the customers about Colorado food and life here in our beautiful state. They need to be enthusiastic about selling Fireworks Chefs Butters at the market.
Qualifications
Positive and enthusiastic. Community builder, self-starter, learner, and team player.
Passionate about food business, butter, agriculture and growing food, the outdoors, and/or sustainability required.
Thriving in an entrepreneurial environment, experimenting and testing, being a problem solver on the fly, and out of the box thinking.
Must have your own vehicle.
Some sales or demo experience preferred.
Experience in the natural foods/cpg/farmers market sales setting preferred.
Vitals
$18/hr negotiable based on experience + commissions = up to $500 a day depending on performance
Mileage reimbursement ($.67/mile)
MUST BE AVAILABLE IN PERSON SUNDAYS 8-2
(1-3 days/week depending on availability)
