Safety/ Security Specialist - Homeless Support
Mission-Driven Opportunity: If you have a compassionate heart and want to make a tangible difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, this role is for you. As a Community Outreach & Safety Specialist, you'll play a vital role in promoting safety and well-being within our homeless support program. You'll educate community members about safety rules, build positive relationships with volunteers, law enforcement, and faith-based partners, and proactively identify potential security concerns.
Qualifications:
Deep empathy and a non-judgmental approach towards individuals experiencing homelessness.
Excellent communication skills to guide and support others.
Ability to pass a background check (no felonies) and be substance-free.
Experience in nonprofit work, security, military, or law enforcement is a significant advantage.
Compensation: $18-$20/hour based on experience
Two shifts are available: Monday through Friday, 5 pm-12 am, and Saturday and Sunday, 9 am—3 pm. Retirees and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply!
