We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to be located at our 70,000 square foot facility in Denver, Colorado.
In this role you will be responsible for receiving product into inventory accurately, picking orders and shipping them according to customer specifications, complete and properly document customer shipments daily, verify that proper documentation accompanies all packaging, invoicing, lots numbers and orders, prepare all outgoing freight to customers or distribution centers with proper documentation. Also responsible for verifying orders to our customers in the United States and overseas, ensuring orders shipping internationally comply with the Regulations while providing excellent customer service to our team while completing all tasks in a timely and efficient manner. May also be responsible for participating in inventory accuracy by completing daily cycle counts.
Minimum requirements:
Verify that all shipments arrive secure and complete, match goods received to description on documents and report any discrepancies to management.
Distribute and inventory goods to proper location.
Know how to read and execute transfer documents, shipping documents, alternation documents, inventory count sheets, UPS/FED-EX documents, sales tickets, vendor packing slips, invoices and other support-related documents.
Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, swing or night shifts due to varying freight volumes.
Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed.
Utilize devices and documentation for tracking and logging shipments.
Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope).
Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery.
Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
Adhere to company safety policies.
Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.
Safely work in adverse weather conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of related experience in shipping/receiving
GED or associate degree highly desirable
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment.
Ability to regularly lift 15-20 pounds for stock positions
Prior dock/warehouse experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
Prior forklift experience in a freight / less than truckload environment preferred.
Prior experience loading and unloading trailers preferred.
At least 18 years of age.
Highly motivated individual with attention to detail.
Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Ability to bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties as well as pushing/pulling freight throughout shift.
Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs frequently and greater than 75 lbs occasionally).
Safely reach above your head
Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
This position has an hourly pay range of $22-24/hr. Other benefits provided include subsidized health care, retirement, paid time off (PTO), and any other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes.
