JoaQuin MFG is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage, monitor and maintain building infrastructure and equipment. Primary goal is to manage all aspects of JoaQuin’s facility and equipment. Including facilities, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance. The position will provide opportunities to collaborate with highly talented people on JoaQuin MFG’s team.
Qualifications
2-4 years’ experience in facilities maintenance & management. ; experience with facilities and equipment expansion is a plus.
Experience working with managing external contractors.
Experience developing specifications for contracted facilities work and associated vendor management.
Hands on skills and experience with facilities and equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
Experience in developing and performing schedule preventive maintenance on facilities/equipment.
Experience using power tools (including but not limited to Welding, Saws, Forklifts, and other assorted tools)
Experience with wiring low voltage applications is a plus.
Spanish is not required but highly desired.
ROLES AND Responsibilities
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Production Manager and Vice President. Will work directly with Team Leads to help with any tool or equipment repairs/ maintenance. Will supervise one direct employee with potential for more as JoaQuin MFG grows.
Responsibilities:
Work with Production Manger to keep facility well serviced and maintained.
Responsible for building systems and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation and performance
Performs hands-on maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
Work to identify specialty vendors and contractors for the service, maintenance and upgrades to equipment as needed.
Work with Vice President to develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, spare parts, and operator’s manuals for facilities and equipment.
Actively recommends and participates in continuous improvement and quality activities to assure the facility and equipment meets performance standards
Physical Requirements
Moving objects up to 50lbs.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps and the like.
Moving self in different positions to accomplish task in various environments.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Assessing the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of work.
Operate machines and power tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23-$26 an hour, Overtime available
