Description:

The Additive Manufacturing Parts Finishing Technician is responsible for the manufacture and post–processing of 3D printed medical devices and the regular maintenance of the manufacturing and post-processing equipment. The objective of the Technician is to prepare electronic files for manufacturing, monitor equipment during manufacturing, and remove all residual material from devices that are produced using MJF Technology. The Technician will utilize a bead blasting cabinet and various cleaning tools to produce products that meet strict quality standards. The Technician will be expected to follow detailed instructions and ensure that all operations have been completed to achieve and maintain a high level of quality.

Duties Include:

Organize electronic files for additive manufacturing

Unpack parts from the build

Using bead blasting equipment and other hand tools, remove residual material from parts to achieve a uniform finish while maintaining dimensional integrity

Complete and maintain Work Order Travelers throughout the finishing process

Perform regular cleaning activities to ensure equipment and shop floor meets or exceeds standards

Execute preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment

Work from and read blueprints as well as setting and checking work to various quality control gages with a high attention to detail

Ability to measure parts using applicable tools and software and reporting results

Responsible for working in compliance with all Quality Management Systems

Complete all necessary documentation, electronic data entries and communications accurately and timely.

Understand written instructions and be willing and able to communicate those instructions to others.

Move all materials, either physically or mechanically, necessary to complete assignments

Adhere to and follow all company safety policies and procedures to assure commitment to 100% safe work environment.

Kitting and packaging of finished parts

Support continuous improvements activities and strive to improve customer satisfaction through improved quality, reduction in waste and improved productivity

Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods of time while working with hands

Ability to stoop, reach, bend and kneel

Excellent attention to detail

Prior experience in a production environment is desired

Compensation: $16-$22/Hr., depending on experience
