Principal Consultant (PA Consulting Group, Inc. – Denver, CO); Multiple positions available. Lead or contribute to policy and regulatory strategy development as part of energy infrastructure investment, expert witness testimony, market and regulatory proceedings, benefits case assessments, whitepaper development, stakeholder engagement, business model development, and business integration. Identify and execute creative approaches to evaluating energy infrastructure benefits and costs as well as risks and risk mitigation. Lead or contribute to written reports and presentations developed as part of energy infrastructure transactions. Advise clients on the value implications of energy and environmental policy and regulation within energy infrastructure transaction processes. Advise internal working groups on how policy and regulatory developments should guide assumptions, processes, and methodologies for system and asset modeling. Enhance and contribute to propositions supporting business development and thought leadership activities. Navigate and meet deadlines that span a number of different projects. Offering a salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 per year. Standard company benefits. Position based in Denver, CO. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Energy and Earth Resources, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Energy Studies, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in policy and regulation within the energy-focused sector, public sector, and/or non-profit sector. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in the stated field and 5 years of experience as stated, will accept a Master’s degree in the stated field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in policy and regulation within the energy-focused sector, public-sector, and/or non-profit sector. Education, training, or experience must include: Use of SAS code to analyze large datasets; Development of Monte Carlo simulation models; Reviewing technical documentation relating to energy market rules; Statistical modeling; Simulation in energy markets; and Quantitative data analysis and optimization. Experience may be gained concurrently.

Position based in Denver, CO. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.
