Paid parking anf fully paid benefits!Key Responsibilities:Estate Planning:Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.Assisting with the preparation of powers of attorney and advance health care directives.Gathering financial information for estate planning purposes.Organizing assets and liabilities for clients, helping determine potential estate tax obligations.Gift Tax:Assisting clients with reporting taxable gifts to the IRS (e.g., filing IRS Form 709 for gift tax).Helping clients understand annual gift exclusions, lifetime gift exemptions, and strategies to minimize gift taxes.Tracking the value of gifts made throughout the year and preparing the necessary documentation for tax filings.Estate Administration:Assisting in the probate process by preparing and filing necessary legal documents.Coordinating with executors and administrators to ensure the timely distribution of the estate.Identifying and valuing estate assets for tax purposes, including real property, investments, and business interests.Handling communication with beneficiaries, creditors, and tax authorities.Tax Filing and Compliance:Preparing estate tax returns (IRS Form 706) and assisting with filing.Assisting with the preparation of fiduciary income tax returns for estates and trusts.Keeping up to date with changes in federal and state estate and gift tax laws.Reviewing documents for accuracy and ensuring all deadlines are met for tax filings.Research and Client Communication:Conducting legal research on estate and gift tax law.Communicating with clients to gather necessary information or explain the status of their estate or gift tax filings.Helping clients understand tax implications of estate and gift planning.Skills Required:Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of estate and gift tax laws, including IRS regulations and tax forms.Attention to Detail: Precision in preparing legal and tax documents, ensuring compliance with all laws.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with clients, attorneys, and tax professionals.Organization: Ability to manage multiple clients, documents, and deadlines efficiently.Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with legal software (e.g., Clio, LexisNexis) and spreadsheet tools for organizing data.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
