About Us

At Sustainable Roots Landscape Co. LLC, we’re not your average landscape company. We’re a modern, fun, and growing team based in Denver, CO, focused on creative, sustainable landscapes that reflect Colorado’s natural beauty. We specialize in native and xeric plant installations, custom hardscapes, and detailed craftsmanship that transforms outdoor spaces.

We’re looking for a Landscape Installation Crew Lead who’s organized, detail-oriented, and professional — someone who can lead a crew, communicate clearly with clients and teammates, and deliver exceptional results.

Position Overview

As a Landscape Installation Crew Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of installation projects, managing a small crew (3–5 people), and ensuring every job is completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be the main point of contact on-site, so leadership, organization, and clear communication are key.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Crew Oversight

Supervise, support, and delegate tasks to a crew of 3–5 team members

Maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment

Train new team members on tools, techniques, and safety procedures

Drive company truck with trailer to and from job sites daily

Installation & Project Execution

Read and follow landscape plans and blueprints

Install plants, irrigation systems, fencing, stonework, and other hardscape elements

Operate landscaping equipment such as mini skid-steers, trencher, compactors, saws, and more

Conduct site prep, grading, soil work, and material layout

Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment

Client Interaction & Communication

Communicate professionally with clients on-site

Serve as the on-site representative of Sustainable Roots

Provide progress updates and resolve concerns proactively

Organization & Detail Management

Track project hours and materials using our CRM or job-tracking app

Ensure work meets design specs and quality standards

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years of landscape installation experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role

Strong understanding of plant installation, irrigation systems, fencing, and hardscapes

Excellent communication skills

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a huge plus

Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated

Ability to read landscape plans and manage timelines

Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to safely drive a truck with a trailer

Comfortable with physical outdoor work and lifting heavy materials

Bonus: experience with concrete, masonry, or carpentry

What We Offer

Competitive pay based on experience

A fun, modern, and supportive team culture

Full-time, year-round work

Opportunities for growth — we promote from within!

Paid time off and potential for benefits

Ongoing training and career development in sustainable landscaping

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday (40–45 hours/week)

Occasional weekend work (voluntary)

Ready to grow with us?

If you’re a detail-driven leader who takes pride in quality work and wants to be part of a company that values people, sustainability, and creativity — we’d love to meet you.
