Job Summary:
The Janitorial Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing janitorial equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, carpet extractors, and pressure washers. This role ensures that all equipment is properly maintained and operational to support janitorial teams in delivering high-quality cleaning services.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in janitorial equipment and perform necessary repairs.
Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and testing to ensure equipment functionality.
Order replacement parts and maintain inventory of commonly used repair items.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and equipment maintenance history.
Provide training to janitorial staff on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
Work with vendors and manufacturers for warranty repairs and technical support.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize equipment downtime.
Assist in the setup, relocation, and disposal of janitorial equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in janitorial or industrial settings.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, batteries, and circuits.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must pass a background check.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
