Job Title: Horse Care Manager

Location: Harmonized Horsemanship | Elizabeth, Colorado

Part-Time (with potential for full-time/live-in for the right applicant)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (with potential for increased hours in the future)

Pay: Starting at $18/hour (DOE)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Horse Care Manager to join our team at Harmonized Horsemanship. As the Horse Care Manager, you will play a vital role in the care and management of our horses and overall farm operations. Must love horses and be comfortable working around a wide variety of breeds, ages and temperaments. A strong attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities:

- Feeding, watering, mucking, turning out horses, preparing grain, etc.

- Conducting thorough welfare checks on all horses

- Assisting with bandaging/wound care and administering medications as needed

- Holding for vet/farrier appointments

- Catching horses for training sessions

- Participating in clean-up and general maintenance of the barn and property

- Assisting with dragging pastures, spreading manure, and other farm-based projects

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with horses and barn management tasks

- Knowledge of equine care, including feeding, grooming, and health monitoring

- Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Ability to operate tractor and arena drag

- Reliable transportation

- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks, self-management, and self-starter

- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
