Job purpose
Titan Construction is looking for a motivated individual to join our rapidly growing team! An experienced, motivated individual with equipment operating experience is a must for this position. You will be required to conduct your duties in a safe, diligent manner at all times. Under general supervision, Heavy Machinery Operators safely operate various equipment including Track hoes, backhoes, front end loaders, dump trucks, skid steers, etc. Secondary duties include those of an advanced general construction laborer. Duties and responsibilities
Excavation of residential homes, installation of water and sewer services, and backfill using Trackhoe’s, loaders, backhoes, skid steers.
Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.
Reporting injuries and other accidents to manager.
Understands how to read and interpret plans.
Ability to establish grade by the understanding of grade stakes.
Prepare equipment for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; notify manager of needed repairs. Ability to perform routine operator maintenance.
Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards.
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed to support the successful business operation.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum 2 years operating experience preferred
Great people skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills preferred.
Working conditions
This position requires working Monday-Friday and some weekends. This position will be mainly outdoors and sometimes in inclement weather.
Physical requirements
Requires full range of body motion including handling and operating levers or controls, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires use of foot-controlled pedals and sitting for extensive periods of time.
Occasionally requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items weighing up to 75 lbs.
Direct reports
This job will be supervised by the Earthwork Project Manager and On-site Supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour
