IDeACOM has immediate openings for low voltage installers and foreman in our Denver based office. We have offices in 3 Western States and employ a core staff of 50+ personnel consisting of technicians, engineers, salesmen, and project managers.
Job Description:
We are looking for a person with skills/background in network cabling, low voltage installation, and troubleshooting I.T. based systems. To help install, program and maintain systems such as: access control systems, nurse call systems, security camera systems and other low-voltage systems.
This position requires a logical, detail-oriented person who has an ability to interface and communicate with customers, vendor support agents, and internal support resources professionally.
Responsibilities:
Install, program and service a variety of low-voltage systems including access control systems, nurse call systems, security camera systems etc
You will be at customers sites and not at a desk the majority of the time. Responsibilities vary from day to day.
Qualifications:
Experience with new, commercial construction, preferably in a journeyman, foremen or apprentice ship role is preferred. Should have a background in basic computers, IP addressing, network topology etc. whether it is self-taught or some sort of formal training. The right candidate will be willing and able to learn then troubleshoot systems he or she has never touched. This candidate will also not shy from getting to the root cause of these issues; even when this means jumping on a ladder when needed to look for damaged wiring or replacing failed equipment. Shouldn't be scared to troubleshoot systems including working with technical support to figure things out.
This position requires activities on ladders and lifts using power and hand tools. The work can take place on new construction sites or existing occupied facilities and may include carrying / moving parts and equipment.
