At Western Wrecking, we provide the removal of unwanted buildings and structures as well as aiding in the beginning of a construction project through site clearing and preparation for the next phase of a project. We are a small, family-owned business based out of Conifer, Colorado. For over 10 years we have been managing projects from the Western Slope to the Eastern Plains and everywhere in between. Job Summary:
We are seeking General Laborers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, is willing to learn new things and is knowledgeable in the construction industry or is excited about learning the trade. The purpose of this roll is to assist with project needs as a general laborer to help ensure timely project completion.
Duties:
- Operate various hand tools and power tools to assemble and fabricate products according to specifications.
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete projects efficiently and accurately
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and ground personnel in the excavation and installation process of laying pipe, grading, or demolition needs
- Ability to be aware of surroundings near the equipment to maintain safe operation and distances from potential hazards such as underground utility lines, other equipment, and other workers always
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and transport them when required
- Follow instructions from supervisors and Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment including always wearing proper PPE
- Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery related to fabrication and assembly processes.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
