High Prairie Tree and Turf is looking to hire a qualified person to join our family operated and owned tree service in the Parker area. Our pride is in offering personal tree care and knowing our customers on an individual basis. You will be joining a team that is first and foremost a family. With that said, do not expect a corporate style structure. You will be expected to be honest, self motivated, responsible, safe and caring. Attitudes and ego should be checked at the door. We are looking for another long term employee as one of ours is leaving the state.
As an employee of High Prairie Tree and Turf you will be required to-
Communicate openly, honestly, and level headed with customers, other employees and owners.
Have and maintain a clean drivers license with safe driving record. CDL is a plus.
Show up on time, when designated, prepared for the days work.
Be drug free.
Be flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions.
You will be expected to be able to-
Be in good enough physical and mental shape to work consecutive 8hr+ days.
Lift and carry at times up to 75lbs.
Have mechanical aptitude relating to small and medium equipment such as but not limited to- chain saws, small spray engines, weed eaters, blowers, etc.
Learn quickly on the job.
Learn tree types, tree species, pest species, different chemicals, their applications and how to apply them.
Ask questions openly. Dumb or not.
Drive safely and courteously in company vehicles. We keep a small work area and our vehicles and names are well known. Driving like an idiot will earn idiot treatment.
Assist with tree removals and trims. Including operating saws, pole pruners, ropes, climbing rigs, etc.
Hours may be 30-50 per week. Seasonal weather will effect hours. We recognize this and will do our best to keep things averaged.
This can be a dangerous and hard work environment but it can also be incredibly fun and rewarding. We can make it very safe and coordinated and reduce risk all around.
We can train anyone to be an arborist/groundsmen/chemical technician, you name it. But we can not fix lack of integrity, honesty and work ethic.
