Job Description

Client Care

Instruct clients who are new to Pilates in our orientation “Getting Connected” programs which includes teaching basic principles of Pilates movement, equipment and studio orientation, and review of client health history and goals.

Provide a safe movement experience for all clients.

Lead clients in private, semi-private, and small group fitness sessions using Pilates reformer, tower, mat, and Exo-Chair.

Provide clear communication to clients regarding their progress, limitations, or modifications that need to be made to maximize their Pilates experience.

Recommend consultation with Physical. Therapists or other providers when an issue falls outside your scope of practice and consult with PT when needed to ask questions about client safety or progress.

Instructors should have a working knowledge of using props such as the Pilates Arc, a foam roller, magic circle, and other common Pilates props.

Communicate with the office manager regarding client needs or questions.

Teamwork

Complete getting connected checklists for all new clients.

Use Wellness Living to communicate any pertinent client information that needs to be shared between instructors.

Perform basic safety checks on all equipment used for teaching.

May need to convert reformer machines to tower set up between clients or classes.

Participate in tidying activities in the studio including wiping down all equipment, restocking props, towels and helping to keep the space presentable and organized.

Use Wellness Living software to manage scheduling, payments, and communication for CONNECT clients. Instructors working on the weekends will need to check voicemails and communicate with their supervisor any needing immediate attention.

Schedule Management

Instructors work with the front desk and office manager to maintain a schedule.

When scheduling a client – instructors must select available resources to reserve and avoid overbooking shared areas.

Make time off requests in advance (minimum of three weeks) for known trips, vacations, events, and work with the front desk to have adequate client and class coverage.

Work with the front desk to fill empty slots on the schedule by keeping a list of clients who may be able to fill a slot.
