Seeking highly motivated, compassionate and creative individuals to support a 40 year old man with autism living in his Central Denver home and accessing community activities. This is fun, active and relationship based work. Great opportunity for students of human/social services and sciences.
Community, friends, intellectual pursuits and social connectedness are all meaningful to this young man. In addition, he collects bells, clocks and chimes, loves books, writes poetry and gives presentations on living life with autism within the teaching and medical communities.
This is a part-time position, working within a team of 5 staff, with similar hours, covering each 7- day week. The current open positions are for the Tuesday/Wednesday shift, Tuesday 9 am to 10am Wednesday as well as Thursday/Fridayshift. Each of the team positions are for a daily shift, consecutively, day and night. Assistance with personal care, cooking, laundry and dressing is required.
Maturity, integrity and the demonstrated ability to work constructively as a team are critical. Energy, enthusiasm, flexibility and a sense of humor a must. Problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn are also necessary components for this work.
Must have own transportation, be a non-smoker and fully vaccinated preferred. $20/hour to start with 90 day review.
