My name is Alice, and I am an adventurous 30-something-year-old C2-level quadriplegic with no movement below my shoulders. I navigate the world in a 400lb powerchair, using an advanced breath-control straw positioned by my face.
This position requires availability for 2-3 shifts per week, which may include a double shift on Sunday, Tuesday evening, Wednesday evening, or Friday evening. Morning shifts are from 6:00 to 9:30 AM, and evening shifts are from 8:00 to 10:00 PM. Tasks include range of motion, showers, bowel programs, getting me dressed, using a Hoyer lift to complete transfers, meals, and occasional errands. No prior experience working with someone with a spinal cord injury is necessary, as I provide thorough training. However, this role is physically demanding, so applicants must be comfortable with an active job that involves lifting and movement.
At this point, I'm only interviewing female applicants.
If you're interested, briefly describe your last adventure, and I can provide more information about myself and the job.
