We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures.
```Duties```
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing materials and instruments
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar practice management systems
- Strong knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or other dental software is a plus
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Understanding of medical coding for dental procedures is desirable
- Excellent infection control practices
