Dental assistant is needed for an established East Denver neighborhood dental office (near Monoco Blvd and Colfax). Individual dentist with over 35-years experience providing comprehensive family dentistry in the community looking for a quality orientated professional. Multi-generational office providing bilingual services to a diverse patient base. We offer competitive salary, health insurance, holiday pay, and vacation days for the right candidate. Job duties include interacting with our wonderful patients, assisting the dentist and hygienist, instrument and supply management, and assisting the front desk staff. Description

Full time position (36-40 hours/week)

Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Responsibilities

Provide patients with a warm and stress free experience.

Establish good rapport with people to help them feel comfortable and build trust

Work as a team player and be willing to help others

Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry (fillings, root canals, prosthetics, implants, extractions and child cleanings)

Set up operatories with instruments, equipment, and materials for each procedure

Take radiographs with Dexis imaging, scanning with Trios 5 scanner, impressions and models, fabricating temporary crowns, and bleaching trays

Educate the patient on procedures and post-operative care instructions

Sterilization of the rooms and instruments according to regulations

Assist in entering treatment plans and maintaining accurate patient records in the computer chart

Requirements

Dentrix experience is helpful but not required

Spanish speaking is extremely helpful

Radiographic experience

CPR certified

Skills

Experience as dental assistant

Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

Understanding of health & safety regulations

Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus

Good computer skills

Excellent communication and people skills

Attention to detail

Well-organized and reliable

High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred

Intra-oral scanning is preferred but not required
