DAY SHIFTS AVAILABLE 7AM-7PM AND PRN SHIFTS BOTH DAY AND NIGHT
We are looking for a compassionate, dynamic and an EXPERIENCED CNA, WITH CURRENT LICENSE. He is in his 50s and has "Locked-In-Syndrome" due to a stroke, Quadriplegic, unable to speak- uses a letter board to spell words, totally cognitive. He has a trach, a feeding tube and out dwelling catheter. He lives in his own home in Westminster.
This role is highly medical, yet we want you to accompany him to activities outside the house. Being a part of the community and enjoying life at the movies, concerts, parks, ball games, etc. is very important.
Responsibilities include:
Medication Management; Follow a strict schedule and administer medications via G-tube.
Bowel Program.
Personal Care; Bathing and dressing.
Tracheotomy Care; Includes suctioning and taking care of the trach area.
Transportation; to outside planned activities as well as appointments and his gym program
Companionship; Planning and sharing fun activities outside, and, inside including reading books, trivia, playing board games, watching videos, etc.
Meal Preparation; Making smoothies or nutrition substitutes in a blender (Cooking meals not necessary).
Errands; may include grocery shopping or medication pick ups.
Hourly rate ($18-20 depending on experience)
You will be crossed trained for all of the shifts. The morning shift will be doing his morning routine; Showering, Dressing, Medication Administration The overnight shift will be doing his evening routing; Putting him to bed, Tending to him overnight and Medication Administration.
