Smokin Yard’s BBQ in Denver is hiring for a Kitchen Manager to supervise daily back and front of house restaurant operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Run all aspects of the line
Ensure the back of house is set up accurately for every shift and broken down accurately after every shift.
Conducts thorough and accurate line checks, correcting issues as they arise.
Manages all areas of operations during which includes on the spot decision making, supporting the staff, and coordinating food orders.
Supervise food prep and cooking.
Check food plating and temperatures.
Train kitchen staff on prep work, working the line, and cleaning.
Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
Maximize productivity and efficiency and minimize waste.
Manage the smoker.
Prepare the necessary food each day.
Take catering orders
Run food, refill drinks, ensure customers are satisfied, take orders, handle customer complaints, ensure front of house staff are doing their jobs.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Excellent communication, delegation, and time management skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with all managers, staff, and guests.
At least 2 year of kitchen experience.
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed (i.e. weekends, evenings, holidays)
Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, reach, and handle easily and skillfully.
Must be multi-tasked oriented.
Must present a neat, professional well-groomed appearance.
Must be committed to excellent customer service.
