What we are looking for in a candidate:
We are looking to fill a Full-Time Shift Manager for our Fine Wine, Spirits, & Craft Beer shops. We are seeking someone with the ability to be assertive, handle challenging situations, and can direct a talented and knowledgeable staff effectively. We need someone who stays attentive to the needs of the shop in both busy and slow times and can work in a self-directed way to stay on top of daily operations. This 1'st level management role oversees 1-3 hourly employees as a shift supervisor but it's main role is to assist other managers & buyers to run daily operations.
Position includes, but is not limited to these tasks:
Handle customer service and security issues
Open & close the shop
Receive, stock, organize, & merchandise inventory
Manage POS transactions and functions
Managing online orders & cash handling
Maintain store cleanliness and organization
Recommend and upsell products
Staff education
Social media and other marketing
Mr. B's managers must possess great leadership skills, a very strong work ethic, and be great at communication and teamwork. Managers must be proficient with current technology and social media applications as well as running point-of-sale and e-commerce systems. You must be able and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Most shifts for this position will be nights & weekends but rotate with other managers to have some nights and occasional weekend shifts off.
The Shift Manager position can lead to a higher position in our company for someone motivated to pursue a career with us. You are highly encouraged to apply if you have experience as a Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Grocery Store Manager, Liquor Store Manager, Retail Manager, Chef or Kitchen Manager; have a Sommelier WSET, or Cicerone Certification; have experience as a Buyer or in Direct Sales.

Position Requirements:
21 years of age or older
Willing to undergo a background check
High School diploma or equivalent
Great communication skills
Strong work ethic
Able and willing to work long hours on your feet
Able and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Able to repeatedly lift 50lbs or more
Be very strict with IDs and intoxicated customers
Proficient with computers & social media
Salary range is based on experience and knowledge. Top pay range is for someone with management experience beverage &/or extensive knowledge with the ability to actively sell beer, wine, & spirits with confidence. Advancement can be accelerated for someone highly qualified and motivated after 90 days.
Year-end bonuses are available for long-term managers when we achieve our financial goals.
