Hogback BBQ is looking for a Pitmaster (or an early riser who loves the smell of smoked meat in the morning) to prepare meats and run our smoker. If you know your way around brisket, ribs, and pork—or are eager to learn—this is the job for you!
What You’ll Do:
Start the smoker early in the morning and ensure everything is cooked to perfection
Maintain consistent temps and proper wood usage (we take our smoke rings seriously)
Prep meats, season, and wrap as needed
Keep the pit area clean and organized
Occasionally help with other kitchen duties if needed
What We’re Looking For:
BBQ experience preferred, but we’ll train the right person
Ability to work early mornings and handle a fast-paced kitchen
Attention to detail—because dry brisket is a crime
Dependable, hardworking, and ready to be part of a solid team
Proficiency in English for communication and safety
What We Offer:
Pay: $20/hr + $2+/hr in tip share
Hours: 35-40 hours/week, 6 days a week, most Sundays off
