OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: Retail Cashiers help run our business by providing excellent customer service while
operating the cash registers, stocking merchandise, and performing various housekeeping duties.
JOB SUMMARY: Retail Cashiers perform various daily customer services tasks by operating the cash register and
assisting customers. This may also include some basic housekeeping tasks around the location such as clearing the outside
parking lots, cleaning the shower and restroom areas, and other tasks as assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Greet customers as you see them, speak politely, and assist customers
Operate a cash register and maintain an accurate and organized drawer
Sell lottery, alcohol, and tobacco products according to state and federal law
Stock and face merchandise
Perform restroom & shower maintenance such as but not limited to; detail cleaning toilets, showers, urinals,
floors, mirrors and doors, service trash cans, and clear floors and counters of any debris
Operate a washer and dryer to clean shower towels and mats, fold and put away towels and mats
Clear outside lots of debris, power wash lots, remove oil stains, gum, and debris from concrete
Remove and re-line trash cans on property
Clean outdoor gas and diesel islands including the equipment
Perform weekly and monthly projects
Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards
Maintain a safe facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-free
Other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
6 months retail and cash handling experience preferred
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Skills:
Hard Skills: Ability to learn and operate a casher register; Ability to learn and perform basic
housekeeping tasks; Ability to perform basic math and count money
Soft Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, organization skills,
can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic
