Castle Pines Golf Club is hiring Pastry cook positions for the 2024 Summer Season! AM positions available!

Looking for motivated culinarians with a passion for food looking to learn & grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Focus on the highest quality ingredients, and exploring creative new culinary trends Castle Pines prizes itself on putting the best product out possible.

A respectful, educational environment covering all aspects of the foodservice industry. We are a full-service club meaning we serve breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as do several tournaments & concerts utilizing our food truck, pizza oven, and a number of beautiful venues on the club property.

We will also be host to the 2024 BMW Championship Golf Tournament marking the first PGA Tour at Castle Pines since the International in 2006

As a sponsor house for the Rocky Mountain Chefs of Colorado We want to further educate inspired individuals with a passion for food & encourage growth within the industry.

Job Summary

Responsible for aiding in the operation of all line production including that used for restaurants, banquet, functions and catering events.

-Prepare a wide variety of goods from scratch such as breads, cookies, cakes, pies, ice creams and chocolates following traditional and modern recipes.

-Prepare goods for a wide variety of presentations including plated desserts, buffets and private caterings.

-Complete daily prep lists being able to organize your time to adhere to time tables in which certain items must be baked daily and ready for service

-Decorate pastries using a wide variety of icings and toppings ect to ensure beautifully finished products.

-Ability to visually view ingredients and completed recipes to ensure only the highest quality products are used and produced

-Daily checks of frozen/fresh par items and ingredients for quantities needed. Communicating to the appropriate people when ingredients are low to get them ordered. And/or using good time management to fit into your day par items that may be need to be made.

-Work in a clean and safe manner adhering to all Food Handlers guidelines.

-Participate in daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks including but not limited to dishwashing, wiping down and sanitizing work surfaces, cleaning stock shelves, fridges and freezers.

-Work with the pastry chef to create and execute new and exciting desserts for menus that change monthly.

-Work in other areas of the kitchen when needs of the business dictate.

Cook Qualifications/Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to safely and effectively operate standard foodservice equipment.

Understanding & Willingness to learn proper sanitation practices.

Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

This position reports to the Pastry Chef, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Associate’s degree Culinary or Applied Sciences preferred

High school diploma or GED

Kitchen experience a plus

Compensation:

$18.00- $22.00 Hr
