Lost Coffee is looking for baristas to join our team!Position Overview: As a Barista at our coffee company, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for creating exceptional coffee experiences for our valued customers. This role demands a passion for coffee, a commitment to providing excellent customer service, and an artistic flair for crafting beautifully executed coffee beverages. You will join a dedicated team of coffee enthusiasts and play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards that set our coffee company apart in the industry.Key Responsibilities: Brewing Speciality Coffee: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, cold brew, and other specialty drinks following precise recipes and techniques. Maintain consistency in taste and presentation. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide exceptional service to ensure a delightful experience. Answer customer questions about coffee options, brewing methods, and menu items. Coffee Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of different processing, roasts, origins, and flavor profiles. Educate customers about the nuances of various coffee offerings and assist them in choosing the perfect brew for their preferences. Equipment Care: Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment with precision and cleanliness. Report any equipment issues promptly to the management team. Craftsmanship: Showcase your creativity and artistry by creating latte art and unique coffee presentations that will impress and delight our customers. Quality Control: Ensure all beverages meet our high-quality standards by meticulously monitoring the brewing process and taste-testing coffee regularly throughout the day. Workspace Maintenance: Keep the coffee preparation area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies throughout the day. Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and an efficient workflow during peak hours. Support fellow team members when needed. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our ever-changing coffee offerings, new brewing methods, and seasonal drinks. Contribute ideas to improve the coffee shop's menu and offerings. Sales: Engage in suggestive selling techniques to promote coffee beans, merchandise, and special promotions, aiming to increase sales and customer loyalty. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Comply with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Requirements: Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. A genuine passion for coffee and a desire to continuously expand knowledge about coffee beans, brewing methods, and the coffee industry. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality coffee beverages. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the coffee shop's operating hours. Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash registers.
