DescriptionThe Tax Transformation Office serves Deloitte Tax, focused on transforming client service delivery inclusive of people, process, and technology in order for our Tax Professionals to deliver efficient, high value, quality service to our clients. Tax Transformation drives improvements across the full range of Tax market offerings. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative team within Deloitte Tax that delivers value aligned with the Deloitte brand.ResponsibilitiesThe role requires working knowledge of professional services and the end-to-end tax compliance engagement life cycle. As a Manager on the Service Delivery Transformation team, you will collaborate with Tax subject matter specialists, technologists, and key stakeholders. Projects span across multiple Business Threads, including tax compliance and advisory service delivery for Corporate, Investment Management, Operating Flow-Through, Individuals, Estates & Trusts, and Indirect Tax services, as well as cross-thread activities such as Initiate, Manage and Close engagements. Responsibilities include:

Understand Tax business strategy and transformation aspirations

Stakeholder Engagement - establish strong business relationships that drive delivery of business outcomes

Coach and develop Tax Transformation team to deepen delivery capabilities

Program Management - strategic management of multiple projects that span Tax Years

Project Management - ability to define and manage detailed workplans, resource estimates, management of budget, forecast and actuals

Identify and delivery of key results with clear status tracking

Identify dependencies, risks, issues, decisions and change requests - work with stakeholders to identify appropriate remediation plans to keep work on track

Understand context and implications of existing processes and legacy technologies

Engage with Tax professionals to assess client service delivery pain points, identify opportunities and deliver on strategy process improvement

Business process analysis and the ability to apply agile and design thinking techniques

Decompose business requirements into functional requirements

Collaborate throughout the technology development lifecycle

Oversee use testing

Review and contribute to learning strategy and materials

Assess business readiness

Analyze user feeback and develop related action plans

Lead deployment

Decommission legacy systems

Executive reporting

Integrate program and project resources including communication and change

The teamDeloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation Office is responsible for collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define delivery standards and the standard processes to support the delivery of Tax services, as well as the related development and deployment of technology to enable service delivery. Members of Tax Transformation elevate Deloitte Tax Professionals, in order that they may provide higher value services to Deloitte clients, through identifying opportunities to streamline delivery, increase resource fungibility, improve ROI on technology investments, increase agility, and elevate the digital client experience. The Tax Transformation Office focuses on enhancing Deloitte Tax LLP's ability to deliver value-added and efficient Tax services to our clients. Tax Transformation consists of professionals with varying backgrounds ranging from Tax Professionals, Human Capital and Technology Consultants, and other IT professionals including Quality Assurance and Technology Support. The team consults and executes on a wide range of projects with a strong focus on process design and deployment and adoption, including stakeholder analysis, communications, learning and change management.QualificationsRequired:

Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or information technology related field

8+ years of relevant experience

Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on project work and phase of the delivery cycle

One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing to obtain:

Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA

Preferred:

Large scale transformation experience

Strong Program and Project Management skills

Strong Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint experience

Working knowledge of data analysis, management and metrics

End-to-end technology project delivery

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while delivering outstanding quality and meeting established deadlines

Experience working within a professional service environment

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,510 to $285,749
