Our team of interdisciplinary engineers works collaboratively with clients to design buildings and processes that are on track for safety, performance, and sustainability.Your Key ResponsibilitiesThe role of a BIM Lead is to work independently on small and medium projects, and as a team leader of larger projects responsible for work of BIM Technicians. The BIM Lead will be able to evaluate, select, and direct BIM environments to deliver a project. Additional responsibilities include:
Acts as liaison for BIM related subject matter both internally and externally.
Develops interdisciplinary standards and process improvements related to BIM project delivery.
Provides direction and assists project teams with project setup and delivery.
Works with project managers and technical design staff to prepare drawing documentation.
Develops families and other electronic template materials following corporate guidelines.
Reviews projects for adherence to firm standards
Evaluates and recommends BIM related software
Creates end user training and support materials
Leads the set-up, maintenance, and development of our project models
Develops families and other electronic template materials following corporate guidelines for our multidisciplinary studios
Oversees and leads in the development of BIM Execution Plans for projects
Communicates corporate initiatives and standards to studio
Provides in-house BIM support including:
Creates electronic data files in compliance with Stantec and client requirements.
Converts markups to document-ready work.
Publishes, posts, and manages drawing sets.
Maintains drawing revisions.
Assists other staff with Revit issues and mentors design staff in Design Technology systems use
Adds insight and makes recommendations to add efficiencies and value to BIM production.
Increases technical and project knowledge by proactively identifying and participating in training opportunities.
Attends in-house project meetings and external meetings.
Actively participates in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support studio and firm-wide goals.
QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials
Strong working knowledge of recent versions of Revit; and how they are applied within the built environment.
Strong working knowledge of Building Information Modeling.
Certifications relevant to the position.
Revit family creation and maintenance.
Skilled at clash detection in Revit. Clash detection skills with Navisworks is preferred.
Client-centric, can-do approach to project work and assignments.
Familiarity with methods of design to support the architectural/engineering field.
High level of initiative, with ability to synthesize new technologies, industry trends, and client needs to make recommendations and initiative changes that add efficiency and value.
Ability to multi-task and synthesize multiple data points and instructions to timely produce accurate deliverables.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Federal experience preferred.
Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Education and Experience
Certificate from technical college. Advanced degree in related field preferred.
Minimum 7 or more years of relevant experience with Revit , or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Related experience in the architectural/engineering/contractor industry.
Familiarity with structural design within the built environment is preferred.
Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit required, Navisworks, Rhino preferred)
Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite)

$84,000 - $122,000 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI and MD
$90,200 - $130,900 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA and DC
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
