Provide leadership in defining the overall design direction and strategy for products.

Present design concepts to stakeholders and facilitate discussions, ensuring alignment with product goals

Set design goals, priorities, and the vision for user experiences

Manage design projects, set priorities, establish timelines, and ensure that design work is delivered on schedule

Align design decisions with the product's strategic goals

Establish and maintain design systems and standards that ensure consistency across products including defining UI patterns, style guides, and design documentation

Create detailed design specifications, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts to development teams

Create interactive prototypes and conduct usability testing to validate design concepts and iterate designs based on user feedback

Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to design and implement experiments and features aimed at driving business growth and improving user satisfaction

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that the final product aligns with the design vision and meets design standards

Effectively communicate design decisions and concepts to non-design stakeholders, such as product managers and executives

Lead user research efforts, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors

Integrate user research and A/B testing data to inform design decisions and optimize user experience

Translate user insights into user-centric design solutions that enhance the overall user experience

Create multiple design solutions, from initial sketches to high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring alignment with target audience preferences and project requirements

Create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces (UI) that align with our product's brand and usability goals

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure design solutions align with product goals and technical feasibility.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust design system and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability of design across products

Assist in organizing and maintaining design assets and documentation

Other essential job functions may be assigned by DISH in its discretion and are subject to change at any time.Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

8-10 years of experience in product design or a related field, with a strong track record of designing user-facing digital products or applications

UX Design Institute Professional Diploma in UX Design

Skills and Qualifications:

Highly advanced design skills and experience with design projects and collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams

Proven ability to conduct user research, usability testing, design iteration, drive design strategies, and integrate user feedback into design decisions

Mentorship experience is a plus, particularly in guiding junior designers

Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

Exceptional visual and interaction design skills demonstrated in a portfolio of impactful design work

A deep understanding of design principles, including user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design

Experience in responsive web design

The ability to set a clear design vision and strategy for products

The capability to align design decisions with the organization's strategic goals and product roadmap.

Experience in project management and experience in setting priorities, establishing timelines, and ensuring that design work is delivered on schedule

Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex design challenges and offer creative solutions

Strong grasp of user-centered design principles and methodologies

Familiarity with design systems and design thinking methodologies

Effective communication with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and executives

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design work

Knowledge of front-end development and coding languages is advantageous
