We're seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our growing tech team and dive into our Microsoft Azure infrastructure initiatives. The Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for performance, availability, and scalability of our Azure cloud environment, along with our On-Premise / Hybrid Microsoft infrastructure. You will collaborate with other Engineers and Developers to enable enterprise applications to meet (or exceed) the organization's business goals. The Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer is also involved in identifying the emerging technologies for cloud-native workloads to enable (and accelerate) our journey to the cloud.As Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be the subject matter expert on our Azure cloud and other Microsoft initiatives, supporting our end-user environments in the cloud and on-prem. And you're a hands-on engineer who leverages your previous experience to lead projects and offer advice and reviews on architecture, design, and implementation. Our current end-user tech stack is based around the Microsoft platform (On-Prem, Hybrid, Office 365, Azure). You will also work with DevOps Infrastructure and Engineering teams to help build integrations between our other application cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and Azure as needed.Some of the things you'll do:- Plan, implement and document complex projects to grow our Azure cloud presence; create process documentation, operations guides, and low-level design documentation.
- Develop solutions integrating Microsoft Azure cloud with services hosted on-premises, hybrid environments, and multi-cloud
- Define and implement secure networking solutions between on-premises data centers and Azure cloud, utilizing virtual networks, NSGs, route tables, virtual gateways, and ExpressRoute.
- Develop and maintain software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration
- Set quality standards for tools, techniques, and methodologies, advising on their application, and ensuring compliance
- Use expert knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, LAN/WAN, and administration to complete a variety of projects
- Arrange and monitor the use of Cloud resources, establishing and implementing monitoring and management infrastructure for availability and performance management, and utilizing native Azure services to meet technology and resiliency requirements.
- Establish, implement, and audit backup/recovery procedures.
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, processes, and software.
- Keep up with Azure security features and processes and work closely with your tech team colleagues to enforce and monitor the company's cloud privacy.
- Incident response to system alerts, serving as a point of escalation for after-hours issues.
- 7+ Years: Design and implement new on-premises and Microsoft Azure systems while implementing best practices and industry standards
- 5+ Years: Migrate on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure cloud
- 5+ Years: Configure Microsoft Azure monitoring and alerts for cloud resource availability
- Expert degree of knowledge in Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, Privilege Identity Management, and Intune; Windows Server Management; Powershell scripting
- High degree of knowledge in IT security
- High degree of knowledge in PaaS and SaaS application performance
- High degree of knowledge in networking
- Strong experience with API Security, Container Security, Azure Cloud Security
- Strong Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other applicable platforms
- BA/BS degree in IT or equivalent technical experience.
- Understand complex Azure infrastructure designs and potential cost optimization parameters.
- Microsoft Certification: Solutions Architect Expert (AZ303, AZ304).
