Job Description:The Medical Interpreter coordinates and delivers both verbal and written language interpretation for patient, families, and caregivers.Position Details:This is a Spanish interpreter position that will provide interpreting services for Saint Joseph Hospital Patients as well as perform some Video Interpreting during slow times. This is a full-time position M-F 0800-1630, this position doesn't qualify for remote work. No on-call requirements, or holidays.Scope:1.Provides interpretation between non-English speaking patients/families and healthcare providers
Informs medical staff about cult considerations
Translates written materials as needed
Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year experience is preferred
Completion of Bridging the Gap or similar interpreting training
