AECOM is actively seeking a Senior NEPA Compliance Project Manager to join our Environmental Planning Group.  In this role you’ll have the opportunity to join our interdisciplinary team to manage projects related to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, state-level equivalent reviews, and environmental permitting. Your ability to manage NEPA projects; oversee staff; perform quality assurance and control; communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders; and write technical assessments related to NEPA compliance is critical.The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in the social, environmental, or physical sciences and experience in contributing to complex environmental studies for land use planning and environmental management. This position requires excellent communication, technical, and writing skills; attention to detail; and the ability to work independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Opportunities for growth include development of client relationships, marketing and business development, and leading interdisciplinary teams on a multitude of projects.Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Leads and manages complex planning studies, development applications and reviews.Reviews and processes complex comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, annexations, site plans and plats.Conducts research and prepares statistical reports on land use, physical, social and economic issues.Provides professional planning assistance to member communities on varied land use and transportation projects.Develops plans, studies and analyses on regional basis.Works in regional program areas relating to natural/water resources planning, community development, hazard mitigation, coastal zone management, and others.Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the development review process and/or to verify that development projects comply with approved plans.Conducts meetings and presents reports and other findings to staff with advisory boards and elected officials.About AECOM’s Environment Business LineJoin AECOM to be part of an expert global team who is connected through a well-developed, worldwide, internal technical practice network through which you can learn from and brainstorm with the best in the world.
