- Applies advanced networking concepts in the analysis, study, and design of data networks. Analyzes network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput) and recommends modifications to network components.
- Designs and optimizes network topologies and site configurations.
- Plans installations, transitions, and cutovers of network components and capabilities.

- The INOC Technician II works on the Integrated Network Operations Center (INOC) team with the primary responsibility of Network Operations Management for 's data communications networks.
- This experienced technician works with internal and external partners to monitor and assess impact to the network while evaluating and implementing available remote remediation procedures, works with on-site Xcel field personnel and vendor technicians, and assisting with change management.
- Develops and leverages a thorough understanding of and experience in enterprise networks and infrastructure to increase efficiencies, ensure consistency, and add value by reducing obstacles that contribute to downtime.
