AECOM is seeking a highly motivated staff geotechnical and/or civil engineer to support our mine tailings storage facility and heavy civil infrastructure design and analysis projects as part of the Mining group in Denver Colorado and Salt Lake City, UT.Job Summary/ Responsibilities:Performs specific and moderate portions of broader assignmentsPlans, directs and performs specific and/or moderate portions of mid- to large, complex projects under the supervision of an experienced senior engineer.Plans, implements, performs and oversees geotechnical exploration and laboratory testing programs (30% travel/field time)Plans, oversees and performs geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analysesPrepares and reviews calculation packagesAssisting with the development of geotechnical reports, drawings and specificationsPreparing and presenting technical presentations of evaluation results to internal and client teamsReview of geotechnical instrumentation and preparation of instrumentation monitoring reports
