Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a diligent Collections Specialist to join our team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will primarily focus on contacting business clients to discuss overdue payments, negotiate payment plans, and ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all collection activities and updating account information in the company database.Responsibilities Contact business clients to discuss overdue payments and negotiate payment plans Utilize various communication channels such as phone calls, emails, and letters to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to address client concerns and facilitate payment resolutions Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and update account information in the company database Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts and identify high-risk accounts Provide regular updates to management on collection activities, payment trends, and potential bad debt risks Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline the collections process and maximize efficiency Comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing debt collection practices Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and track collections processes and customer credit information.
