position will be contacted and/or selected to teach.Position SummaryThe Alternative Licensure Program at Metropolitan State University of Denver
(MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching
positions. TheALPCoach will support alternative licensure candidates in their
teaching assignments. This is a temporary coaching position thatserves
students in the fall and spring semesters. Applicants need to be available 5
days per week during the day for lessonobservations, debriefs, and
meetings with alternative licensure teachers. The successful applicant will
coach candidates in accordancewith Teacher Quality Standards and assist each
candidate in becoming an effective teacher in a variety of settings.For more information about the Alternative Licensure Program in our School of

Qualities StandardsCommunicate with Alternative Licensure Instructor regarding candidate's
performanceAttend all required Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) meetingsNecessary Special Requirement:This position requires travel to and from
teaching sites throughout the week. The final candidate mustbe able to perform
this essential function of the job with or without accommodation.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in education or related field from an
accredited college or universityTeaching experience in a public or private school settingHas held a license to teachPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a related fieldAt least 5 years of teaching experience in a public or private school settingSupervisory experience in an education setting (e.g. as a principal,
department chair, university supervisor, or as a
previousmentor/cooperating teacher)Experience in supervising or mentoring new teachersHolds a current Colorado teaching licenseTerms of EmploymentAffiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per
credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester
basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the
