Primary Purpose: The Licensed Electrician (Service Tech) plays a crucial role in our electric company by providing skilled electrical services to our clients. This position is responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. The Licensed Electrician is responsible for maintaining accurate records, reports, and correspondence, utilizing databases, utilizing phones and technology, coordinating purchasing activities, and performing various other tasks necessary to deliver high-quality electrical services. Qualifications:

Valid electrician license issued by the State of Colorado.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a licensed electrician, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.

Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.

Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Records, Reports, and Correspondence:

Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including service reports, inspection reports, and maintenance records.

Prepare reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.

Coordinate and manage correspondence related to electrical projects and service requests.

Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and team members.

Assist in change orders/extra work process.

Database:

Utilize databases to track and manage electrical work orders, inventory, and client information.

Enter and update data in the database accurately and in a timely manner.

Generate reports and analysis from the database to support decision-making.

Collaborate with the IT department to optimize the functionality and integration of database systems.

Phones and Technology:

Utilize phones and technology to communicate with team members, clients, and suppliers.

Access and use relevant electrical software and tools to enhance job performance.

Stay updated on technological advancements in the electrical field to improve work efficiency.

Provide guidance and support to team members on using technology tools effectively.

Purchasing:

Coordinate with the purchasing department to procure electrical materials, tools, and equipment.

Monitor inventory levels and request replenishments as needed.

Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability.

Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.

Project Coordinating:

Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve electrical issues.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan and execute electrical projects.

Ensure that projects are completed within established timelines and budget constraints.

Prepare detailed documentation for the execution of the work performed.

Dispatch to a variety of work environments to diagnose, maintain, and fix or replace electrical components.

Customer Service:

Ensure an excellent overall customer experience.

Communicate a clear agenda with all clients.

Provide creative solutions with multiple options and presenting pricing using a pricing guide.

Perform exceptionally high-quality electrical installations.

Training and Development:

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices.

Assist in training electrical apprentices.

Other:

Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the electrical field.

Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.

Keep electrical license current by taking all classes required by the State of Colorado.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Apprentices on assigned projects.Equipment Used: Multimeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, and testing equipment; soldering iron; wire puller; pipe bender and threader; hand and power tools (saw, drill, etc.); trencher; jackhammer; concrete saw; ladder, and other tools as needed to complete projects. Light truck or van. Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around electrical power lines, outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent districtwide travel. May be required to perform job duties including ability to conduct instruction, attend meetings and professional development, and make and receive phone calls in a virtual or remote workplace environment. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Pay range is the following (based on experience and education):

Residential (RW) Electrician: $24 - $28 hourly

Journeyman (JW) Electrician: $27.50 - $33 hourly

Master Electrician: $29 - $40 hourly
