Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Roofing Service Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of management experience in the commercial roofing industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of roof systems and assemblies, and OSHA construction safety standards. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing roofing repair projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing roof repair, tenant finish, and maintenance projects. Manage project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.
2. Build strong relationships with clients and collaborate to understand their roofing needs, provide expert advice, and deliver exceptional customer service.
3. Lead and inspire a diverse team of roofing professionals, including employees, suppliers, and internal staff of three. Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and provide guidance and support to ensure project success.
4. Implement stringent quality control measures to ensure all roofing projects meet industry standards and client expectation. Conduct regular inspections, address any issues promptly, and maintain the highest level of workmanship and safety on every job.
5. Develop new business and advance existing relationships by pursuing roof service work throughout Colorado. Sell, bid, and negotiate profitable commercial roof repair, maintenance, and tenant finish work.
6. Present yourself and the company in a positive and professional manner.
7. Coordinate with management to ensure that proper materials and equipment are available to effectively compete in
the market and service our customers quickly.
8. Plan, communicate and implement strategies that will maintain the company as the leader in the roofing service
market.
9. Attend scheduled meetings (safety, staff, job site, pre-bid, inspection, etc).
10. Communicate with customers in a timely manner.
11. Implement the policies, directive, and goals of management.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of three years of experience in the commercial roofing industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of commercial roof assemblies and materials.
3. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and general safety regulations.
4. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
5. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
6. Strong management and organizational skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
