IT Tech Support FULL TIME Position

Compensation: $13/hr to $45/hr; DOE

Job Title: Tier I, Tier II and Tier III positions

This is a full time technical support position assisting clients and end users with computer related day to day issues.

We are a local IT consulting company. Compensation includes hourly rate, potential overtime, paid holidays, bonuses and merit based pay.

Reply with requested information and answers to the following questions. Emails missing information will be ignored due to your inability to follow directions. I cannot train you if you cannot follow simple instructions.

4. Why would you enable or disable the windows firewall in a business network?

5. What would be your first thought if you saw a network switch/hub servicing a few computers next to a person's desk at a client's location?

6. If one of these users that were plugged into this switch/hub called saying that they could not get on the internet or access network drives but their network connection was reporting that they were "connected", what would be your first thought as to the issue?

7. If you can ping an external IP but cannot browse to web pages, what service is not working, or what is wrong?

8. If you can ping an internal IP, but cannot ping an external IP, what is the issue, list at least 3.

10. Do you have reliable transportation?

11. List and explain anything I may have concern with that will show up on a background check.
