Cameraworks is the oldest camera store in the region with new and used equipmentlots of cameras, lenses, studio equipment, darkroom, etc. We sell, buy, and trade equipment, plus film processing, repairs and other services. There is always something new and different to deal with.
We have an opening for an entry level, full-time position, Monday-Saturday 9AM-5:30PM with one day off during the week. Because this is a full-time job, we cannot consider students.
We would like to have someone with a working knowledge of photography and camera equipment, but we will consider training an exceptional individual with limited experience. Counter sales and experience in specialty retail is useful and excellent people skills are a plus. Ordinary reading, legible handwriting, and math skills are essential; computer skills are useful. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to retain information once it is taught. This job will also entail some work in our processing lab so any previous experience in this area would be helpful.
The right candidate will have a winning personality, cooperative spirit, and a friendly, enthusiastic attitude. The ability to sell with a low-key presentation rather than high pressure is essential.
This is a nice job and a good place to work if you are intelligent, strive to do a good job, and are eager to learn new things. Biq qualifier: must like dogs—we always have a couple around and you probably won’t be happy if you can’t get along with (very friendly) dogs!
Compensation depends on experience, and includes sales incentives, bonuses, paid holidays and vacations, insurance benefits, plus employee purchase discounts on both new and used equipment.
Resumes should be emailed to [email protected] in .doc, .txt or .pdf formats only—(others are impossible to open). Questions? Call Alan at (719) 594-6966.
If you have any skills which would be useful on this job which are not shown by past work experience on your resume (promotion, marketing, graphics, etc.) please mention these in your cover letter. Because of the number of applications we receive, we cannot individually respond to those who are not being hired. We typically post a job opening for a couple of weeks to attract the most applicants, and we cannot contact everyone who is not being selected. Please email us if you have questions about the status of your resume/application.
