We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
Prepare and present sushi and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality, maintaining proper food handling practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Stay updated on current food trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, sharing knowledge about menu items.
Requirements
Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in sushi preparation or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to food handling.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques related to sushi making.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A passion for culinary arts, particularly Japanese cuisine, is highly desirable.
Previous experience in catering or dietary departments is a plus but not required.
