We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to our high standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. This role requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of orders during service.
Maintain proper portion control and presentation of dishes.
Utilize various cooking techniques, including sautéing, grilling, frying.
Prepare sauces, dressings, and other components of dishes.
Kitchen Organization and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items.
Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces.
Help with receiving and putting away food deliveries.
Teamwork and Communication:
Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and servers.
Follow instructions from the Chef.
Assist other cooks as needed.
Inventory and Stocking:
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the Chef.
Ensure proper labeling and dating of food items.
Quality Control:
Maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature.
Report any food quality issues to the Chef.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
This shift starts at 7am and ends approximately 3pm.If you are not a morning person, please don't try to be for us.
