Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment (dish machine).
Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and kitchenware into dish machine.
Hand wash pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment that cannot be machine washed.
Ensure all washed items are thoroughly clean, sanitized, and properly stored.
Monitor dish machine temperatures and chemical levels to ensure proper sanitation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and shelves.
Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed (e.g., peeling vegetables, stocking ingredients).
Empty trash cans and maintain a clean garbage area.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly throughout the shift.
Break down boxes and assist with receiving and storing deliveries when necessary.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure a continuous supply of clean dishes.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.
